Air Liquide Joins Texas Hydrogen Production Policy Council to Advance State’s Hydrogen Economy Development Efforts.

Air Liquide has been selected for the Texas Hydrogen Production Policy Council, a body that aims to connect a national hydrogen economy through regional ecosystems. The Council, formed by the Railroad Commission of Texas, aims to further the development of a state plan for hydrogen production and analyze the development and development of hydrogen industries in Texas. Air Liquide produces nearly 5 billion cubic meters of hydrogen in the U.S. annually, with over half of this hydrogen being produced in the Gulf Coast. The company’s largest pipeline system in the world is backed up by the largest hydrogen storage cavern globally, which provides storage of over 4.5 B cubic feet of hydrogen. As a member of 6 of the 7 regional hydrogen hubs selected by the Department of Energy and Texas’s HyVelocity Hub, Air Liquidide will contribute to the Council’s detailed regional focus.
