Rimere Secures $10 Million Investment to Advance Carbon-Free Hydrogen and Graphene Technologies with Clean Energy Fuels Corp.

California-based cleantech company, Rimere, has secured a $10 million investment from Clean Energy Fuels Corp. The funding will accelerate the development of its Reformer and Mitigator technologies, which transform natural gas into clean hydrogen and valuable graphene without causing any carbon dioxide emissions. The Reformer uses proprietary plasma technology to achieve a negative carbon intensity rating, surpassing conventional renewable electrolysis methods in terms of emission reduction. The Mitigator targets fugitive methane emissions, which significantly reduce their impact, and reduces their emissions, particularly those escaping from natural gas pipelines. While currently contributing to greenhouse gas emissions during storage, transport, and operations, the Reformer’s technology offers a pathway for “cleaning up the infrastructure” and unlocking the potential of natural gas as a contributor to a sustainable energy future.
