These vessels are designed to efficiently distribute solar energy across the oceans to maximize the capture of solar energy through their dual-hulled structure. The increase in ocean temperatures is driving a series of environmental catastrophes, including the melting of polar ice caps, widespread coral bleaching, global glacial melting, and significant alterations in ocean currents. These changes could lead to a weakening of key components of this system, such as the North Atlantic Deep Water formation, which could significantly cool the North American and Europe. The scientific community is now turning towards more radical geoengineering technologies, including those that spray seawater into the atmosphere to increase the albedo of marine stratocumulus clouds, which would reflect more sunlight into space, thereby cooling the Earth.
