First Solar and MN8 Energy have ordered 457 Megawatts of advanced thin-film solar modules, including Series 6 plus bifacial modules and Series 7 modules. The orders will support projects in the northeastern and southern United States, contributing to the growth of the renewable energy industry in those regions. First Solar, the largest solar manufacturer in the Western Hemisphere, is expected to support over 30,000 direct, indirect, and induced jobs across the US by 2026. The company is also investing in new manufacturing facilities in Alabama and Louisiana, as well as R&D innovation infrastructure in Ohio, which is projected to have a significant impact on job creation and economic development.
