Vesper Energy has launched an 80-MW solar photovoltaic park in Ohio, known as the Nestlewood plant, which will power 16,000 homes annually with 80 MW of clean energy. The solar farm, which covers 610 acres of rural land and consists of 300,000 modules, is expected to generate enough electricity to power approximately 16,00 homes annually. The electricity produced by the solar park will be sold to an undisclosed online retailer through a purchase power agreement. The operation of the solar farm is aimed at meeting the growing electricity demand in Ohio and the PJM region as coal-fired power stations are set to retire. The project began in 2017 and received permits from the Ohio Power Siting Board three years later.
