Senate Republicans are accusing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of giving a $50 million grant to the Climate Justice Alliance, an organization they accuse of antisemitism. The money is intended to support efforts to address the impact of energy production and other activities on disadvantaged communities. The EPA chose the group as a national Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaker under the Inflation Reduction Act. The ClimateJustice Alliance has been involved in pro-Palestinian causes, particularly following the deadly October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and Gaza war.
