Wolf Run Solar is a solar power facility located in Jacksonville, Illinois, with an operating capacity of 140 MW. It falls under the SERC Reliability Corporation NERC region and is part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is operated by EDP Renewables North America, which is also its majority owner, under the holding company EDP SA. As an unregulated facility, Wolf Run Solar harnesses solar energy to generate electricity, primarily supplying power to Microsoft Corporation.
