Winegar is a solar power facility located in Waseca, Minnesota, operating under the Midwest Reliability Organization within the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. With an operating capacity of 1 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy as its primary fuel source. The facility is managed by Impact Power Solutions, which also serves as the majority owner, under the holding company ALLETE. As an unregulated entity, Winegar contributes to the region’s renewable energy landscape, aligning with broader sustainability goals and enhancing energy diversity in the Midwest.
