White Rapids is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in Stephenson, Michigan, operating under the jurisdiction of the ReliabilityFirst Corporation within the NERC Region. With an operating capacity of 7.2 megawatts, the facility plays a vital role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is regulated and is primarily owned and operated by Wisconsin Electric Power Company, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group. Utilizing water as its fuel source, White Rapids contributes to sustainable energy generation while adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
