WFEC GenCo is a gas turbine power generation facility located in Anadarko, Oklahoma, operating under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 90 megawatts, the plant plays a vital role in the Southwest Power Pool’s power control area. The facility is managed by the Western Farmers Electric Cooperative, which also serves as the majority owner and holding company. As an unregulated entity, WFEC GenCo leverages natural gas as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s energy supply while adhering to operational standards and reliability protocols.
