Westar Cities Solar is a solar power facility located in South Hutchinson, Kansas, within the Midwest Reliability Organization region. With an operating capacity of 1 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is managed by ENGIE US Solar, which is also the majority owner, under the parent company Engie SA. The facility operates in an unregulated environment and is part of the Southwest Power Pool power control area. Dold Foods is the primary purchaser of the electricity generated by this solar plant, which utilizes the sun as its fuel source.
