The Walton 2 Solar Facility, located in Walton, Kentucky, operates under the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. This solar power plant boasts an operating capacity of 2 megawatts and is integrated within the PJM Interconnection power control area. The facility is managed by Duke Energy Kentucky, which also serves as the majority owner. Duke Energy Corporation, the parent company, oversees the ownership structure. As a regulated entity, the Walton 2 Solar Facility harnesses solar energy, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio and supporting sustainable energy initiatives.
