WAL1062 is an internal combustion power generation facility located in Friendswood, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). The plant operates with a capacity of 1.2 megawatts and is integrated into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is operated by Wal-Mart Stores Texas, which also serves as the majority owner. The plant is unregulated and utilizes gas as its primary fuel source. Walmart, the parent holding company, oversees the operational and strategic management of the facility.
