Valley Center 1 is a solar power plant located in Valley Center, California, operating under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. With an operating capacity of 2.5 MW, it contributes to the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is operated by Sol Orchard San Diego 22 and is unregulated, with MN8 Energy as the majority owner, under the holding company of The Goldman Sachs Group. Utilizing sunlight as its primary fuel source, Valley Center 1 supplies power primarily to San Diego Gas & Electric Company.
