USS Turkey Solar is a solar power facility located in Atwater, Minnesota, operating under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 1 megawatt, the plant contributes to the energy needs of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is managed by USS Turkey Solar and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership is held by United States Solar Corporation, which also serves as the owner holding company. The plant harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source to generate clean, renewable power.
