USS King 2 is a solar power facility located in Cologne, Minnesota, operating under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 1 MW, the plant is part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is managed by Standard Solar and operates in an unregulated environment. The majority ownership is held by Energir Development, which also serves as the owner holding company. The plant harnesses solar energy as its primary fuel source. Additional stakeholders include Caisse de depot et placement du Quebec, Enbridge, Fonds de solidarite FTQ, and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, as well as the Regime de retraite de l’Universite du Quebec.
