Upland Prairie is a wind turbine facility located in Everly, Iowa, within the Midwest Reliability Organization (NERC Region). The plant boasts an operating capacity of 299.3 megawatts and is integrated into the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. Operated by Interstate Power and Light Company, Upland Prairie is a regulated facility, with the majority ownership held by Interstate Power and Light Company, a subsidiary of Alliant Energy Corporation. The plant utilizes wind as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio and supporting sustainable energy initiatives.
