The UL Advanced Wind Turbine Test Facility, located in Canyon, Texas, operates under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. This facility is dedicated to advancing wind turbine technology, with an operating capacity of 3.5 MW. It is integrated into the Southwest Power Pool power control area, ensuring efficient energy distribution. The plant is operated by West Texas A&M University, which also serves as the majority owner, under the umbrella of The Texas A&M University System.
