The Traverse Wind Project, located in Weatherford, Oklahoma, operates under the Midwest Reliability Organization and is a significant contributor to the renewable energy landscape. The project is integrated into the Southwest Power Pool power control area, ensuring efficient energy distribution. The plant is regulated and operated by the Public Service Company of Oklahoma, with the Southwestern Electric Power Company serving as the majority owner. The overarching ownership is held by American Electric Power Company. Additionally, the Public Service Company of Oklahoma is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
