Townsend Hydro

Townsend Hydro is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in New Brighton, Pennsylvania, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. With an operating capacity of 4.2 MW, the facility harnesses water as its primary fuel source to generate electricity. The plant is regulated and operated by the Beaver Falls Municipal Authority, which also holds majority ownership. Townsend Hydro is part of the PJM Interconnection power control area and primarily sells its generated power to Duquesne Light Company.
