Tioga Solar South is a solar power facility located in Owego, New York, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 5 megawatts (MW) and is integrated into the New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) power control area. As an unregulated facility, Tioga Solar South is primarily owned by NextEra Energy, which also serves as the holding company. The plant harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its fuel source, and is managed from its operational site at 237 State Route 96 Site 2.
