Tamworth Holdings operates a 5 MW solar power plant located in Harrells, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. The facility, which harnesses solar energy, is unregulated and primarily serves the Duke Energy Progress power control area. Owned by IRUS Solar Holdings and under the holding company RWE Aktiengesellschaft, the plant’s primary power purchaser is also Duke Energy Progress.
