Tahquitz High School, located in Hemet, California, is powered by a solar plant with an operating capacity of 1 MW. This facility is part of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council and operates under the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. Managed by Tioga Solar Hemet Wf1, the plant is unregulated and primarily utilizes solar energy, harnessing the sun as its fuel source. The majority ownership lies with Alberta Investment Management Corporation, which also serves as the holding company. The primary power purchaser for this solar energy is the Hemet Unified School District in California.
