Swansboro Solar is a solar power facility located in Maysville, North Carolina, operating under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 4.9 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is managed by Swansboro Solar and is unregulated in its operations. The majority ownership lies with TransAlta Renewables, a subsidiary of TransAlta Corporation. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Progress, which also oversees the power control area for the facility.
