The Suwannee River power plant, located in Live Oak, Florida, operates under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. This facility utilizes gas turbine technology with an operating capacity of 194 MW. It is managed by Duke Energy Florida, which is also the majority owner and part of the Duke Energy Corporation holding company. The plant is regulated and primarily uses natural gas as its fuel source, sourcing gas from the Florida Gas Transmission Company. The power generated is controlled within the Duke Energy Florida power control area.
