SunE EPE1 is a solar power plant located in Chaparral, New Mexico, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. With an operating capacity of 10 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by SunE EPE1 and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational practices. The majority owner is Sun Edison, which is also the holding company. The primary power purchaser for the electricity generated is El Paso Electric Company, which plays a key role in distributing the energy produced by this facility.
