SunE CPS3 is a solar power plant located in Somerset, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 10.6 MW, the facility harnesses solar energy to contribute to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The plant is operated by SunE CPS3 and is unregulated, with Sun Edison serving as the majority owner through its holding company, SunEdison. The primary power purchaser for the plant is CPS Energy, ensuring a steady demand for the renewable energy generated.
