Summer Falls Power Plant, located in Coulee City, WA, operates under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. Utilizing hydraulic turbine technology, the plant has an operating capacity of 92 MW. It is managed by Columbia Basin Hydropower, which is also the majority owner and holding company. The plant is unregulated and primarily generates power using water as its fuel source. The primary power purchaser is the City of Seattle’s City Light Department, which relies on this facility to meet its energy needs.
