Steamboat II is a geothermal power plant located in Reno, Nevada, operating under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. With an operating capacity of 16.2 MW, it is managed by Ormat Nevada, which is also the majority owner and part of Ormat Technologies. The plant operates in an unregulated environment and supplies power primarily to the Southern California Public Power Authority. It is integrated into the California Independent System Operator’s power control area, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
