The South Texas Project, located in Palacios, Texas, is a nuclear power plant with an operating capacity of 2,660 MW. It is part of the Texas Reliability Entity within the ERCOT power control area. The plant is operated by STP Nuclear Operating Company and is regulated under state guidelines. Constellation Energy Generation holds the majority ownership, with Constellation Energy Corporation as the parent company. The facility primarily utilizes nuclear fuel and supplies power to CPS Energy as its main purchaser.
