Solway CT is a gas turbine power plant located in Solway, Minnesota, within the Midwest Reliability Organization region. With an operating capacity of 50 MW, it plays a vital role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is operated and majority-owned by Otter Tail Power Company, a subsidiary of Otter Tail Corporation, and is regulated under state guidelines. The facility utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel source, sourcing it from the Great Lakes Gas Transmission Limited Partnership. Currently, there are no primary power purchasers associated with the plant.
