SMT Los Fresnos is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage facility located in Los Fresnos, Texas, operating under the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 10 MW, this facility plays a crucial role in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The plant is managed by SMT Energy and is classified as unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership of SMT Los Fresnos is held by SUSI Partners AG, which also serves as the owner holding company. In addition to SUSI Partners AG, SMT Energy is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
