The Sidney A Murray Jr Hydroelectric facility, located in Vidalia, Louisiana, operates under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. Utilizing hydraulic turbine technology, the plant boasts an operating capacity of 192 MW. It is managed by Catalyst Old River Hydroelectric Limited Partnership and is unregulated, with Catalyst Vidalia Corp as the majority owner under the Catalyst Group holding company. The plant harnesses water as its fuel source and primarily sells power to Entergy Louisiana, contributing to the energy needs of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator power control area.
