Shelter Solar is a solar power facility located in Raeford, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Sol Systems, which also holds majority ownership of the facility. As an unregulated plant, Shelter Solar primarily sells its generated power to Duke Energy Progress, the designated power control area.
