SEMASS Resource Recovery is an 80 MW biomass power plant located in West Wareham, Massachusetts, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council region. Operated by Covanta Semass Partnership, the facility utilizes steam turbine technology to convert biomass into electricity. As an unregulated plant, it operates under the ISO New England power control area. The majority owner, Covanta Energy, is part of the EQT AB (publ) holding company. The primary power purchaser for the plant is NSTAR Electric Company.
