SCE&G Nimitz is a solar power facility located in Ridgeland, South Carolina, operating under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 8 MW, the plant contributes to the energy needs of the Dominion Energy South Carolina power control area. The facility is managed by Energy Equipment Limited and is classified as unregulated. The majority ownership of the plant is held by Clean Energy Collective, which also serves as the owner holding company. The primary fuel source for the plant is solar energy, harnessed from the sun. Additionally, First Solar is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
