The Sarasota County LFGTE Facility, located in Sarasota, Florida, operates under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. Utilizing internal combustion technology, the facility has an operating capacity of 6.4 MW and primarily generates power from biomass. It is managed by Sarasota Energy, which also holds majority ownership of the plant. The facility operates in an unregulated environment and supplies power to the JEA, its primary power purchaser.
