Santa Ana Battery Storage 2 is a state-of-the-art energy storage facility located in Santa Ana, California, operating under the jurisdiction of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. With a robust operating capacity of 20 MW, this facility utilizes advanced battery technology to provide reliable energy storage solutions. The plant is managed by Johanna Energy Center, which also serves as the majority owner, under the regulatory status of unregulated operations. The facility is integrated into the California Independent System Operator’s power control area, ensuring efficient energy distribution and management. The owner holding company, ECP ControlCo, oversees the strategic direction of the plant. Other owners of the power plant include Johanna Energy Center.
