Sandstone Solar is a solar power facility located in Florence, Arizona, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 43 MW, the plant harnesses the sun’s energy to generate electricity. It is managed by Sustainable Power Group and operates under an unregulated status. The majority ownership lies with Alberta Investment Management Corporation, which also serves as the owner holding company. The primary power purchaser for Sandstone Solar is the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District Arizona, ensuring a steady demand for the renewable energy produced at the site.
