Samoset Solar is a solar power facility located in Rockport, Maine, operating under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. With an operating capacity of 2 megawatts, the plant contributes to the energy needs of the ISO New England power control area. The facility is managed by Pine Gate Renewables, which also holds majority ownership and operates as the owner holding company. As an unregulated entity, Samoset Solar harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source, to deliver sustainable power solutions in the region.
