Saguaro is a gas turbine power plant located in Red Rock, Arizona, operating under the jurisdiction of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC). With an operating capacity of 194.1 megawatts, the facility plays a crucial role in the energy supply for the region. The plant is managed and operated by Arizona Public Service Company (APS), which also holds the majority ownership. Saguaro is regulated, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices. The plant utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel source, contributing to the efficient generation of electricity within the Arizona Public Service Company’s power control area. The ownership structure is further supported by Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, the parent company of APS.
