Roosevelt County is home to a 250 MW wind turbine facility operated by Boralex, located in Elida, New Mexico. This unregulated plant harnesses wind energy to contribute to the power grid, operating within the Midwest Reliability Organization’s NERC region. The facility is part of the Southwest Power Pool’s power control area and primarily supplies energy to the Southwestern Public Service Company. Boralex, the majority owner and holding company, plays a key role in the management and operation of this renewable energy source.
