The Rockford Solar Farm, located in Rockford, Illinois, operates under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. This solar facility boasts an operating capacity of 2.6 MW and is managed by Rockford Solar Partners. It is part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area and is unregulated in its operations. The majority ownership lies with Wanxiang America Corporation, which also serves as the owner holding company. The solar farm harnesses energy from the sun, with Ameren Illinois Company as its primary power purchaser.
