Reynolds is a gas turbine power generation facility located in Springfield, Illinois, operating under the jurisdiction of the SERC Reliability Corporation. With an operating capacity of 14.7 megawatts, the plant plays a vital role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The facility is regulated and is wholly owned by the City of Springfield, which also serves as the plant operator.
