Ray Wilson Solar is a solar power facility located in Advance, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Ray Wilson Solar and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority ownership lies with TransAlta Renewables, a subsidiary of TransAlta Corporation. The primary power purchaser for the facility is Duke Energy Carolinas, which integrates the solar-generated power into its grid.
