Progress Solar III is a solar power facility located in Maxton, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 3.5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Oppidum Renewables USA, which also holds majority ownership of the facility. As an unregulated plant, Progress Solar III primarily sells its generated power to Duke Energy Progress, the designated power control area.
