The Princeton, Illinois power facility operates under the jurisdiction of the SERC Reliability Corporation within the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. Utilizing internal combustion technology, the plant has an operating capacity of 37.7 megawatts. The facility is regulated and is wholly owned by the City of Princeton, which also serves as the plant operator. The primary fuel source for the plant is natural gas, ensuring efficient and reliable energy production for the local community.
