Prairie Sky Solar Farm is a solar energy facility located in Andover, Kansas, within the Midwest Reliability Organization (NERC Region). The plant operates with a capacity of 1 megawatt (MW) and is integrated into the Southwest Power Pool power control area. The facility is managed by the Kansas Electric Power Cooperative, which also serves as the majority owner and holding company. As an unregulated entity, Prairie Sky Solar Farm harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source to contribute to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
