PopeSun is a solar power facility located in Starbuck, Minnesota, operating under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 5 megawatts, the plant contributes to the energy needs of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s Power Control Area. The facility is managed by CCP-EC Tenant and is classified as unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership of PopeSun is held by Cypress Creek Renewables, which is part of EQT Infrastructure V. Utilizing solar energy as its primary fuel source, PopeSun exemplifies a commitment to sustainable energy production in the region.
