Plumsted 537 is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage facility located in Cream Ridge, New Jersey, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. With an operating capacity of 19.8 MW, this facility plays a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting the PJM Interconnection power control area. The plant is operated by Viridity Energy Solutions, which also holds the majority ownership, under the umbrella of its parent company, Ormat Technologies. As an unregulated entity, Plumsted 537 leverages advanced energy storage technology to provide flexible and efficient energy solutions, contributing to the overall stability and sustainability of the regional power grid.
